Sports

Sports is not just a hobby; it’s my life. Since I was two, my dad took my twin and me to the Bukhansan mountain every weekend, even though I didn’t want to. Since then, I have encountered various sports, including soccer, baseball, track and field, swimming, badminton, basketball, etc.  I was captivated by the indescribable charms of playing sports: The ecstasy and motivation from fierce competition, happiness from doing what I genuinely like, and fervor from wanting to win the competition to the point of covering my body with sweat.

I am greatly thankful to sports for being a significant part of my life. I am not just thankful for sports because they gave me happiness, but it’s more about how they significantly impacted me to become a better person. I developed my mentality and learned the mindset never to give up. Furthermore, through playing sports, I got to know new people who are very precious to me now, and made unforgettable memories with them.
